Pranayama and Meditation Teacher Training

28 - 30 November 2025

This 20-hour training lead by Rebecca Hajek will give you all the tools you need to develop a daily pranayama and meditation practice. The content has been designed for those who want to learn or review pranayama techniques and yogic meditation as traditionally taught. Each of the techniques will be explained in detail, practiced and teaching tips will be given for practitioners and teachers to be able to include these tools into their daily Sadhana as well as yoga classes.

The aim of this course is to help you establish a daily traditional pranayama and meditation practice and give you the tools you need to share this knowledge with others.

Pranayama
Pranayama, the 4th limb of Yoga, is the bridge between the Bahiranga (External Yoga) and the Antaranga (Internal Yoga). Pranayama is roughly translated as extension of the life force. So, the breath is specifically altered in order to produce specific results. Learn cooling, warming, relaxing and meditative practices, and pranayama techniques to connect with the gross and subtle nature of the breath. The practice of pranayama helps to clear the physical and emotional obstacles in our body to free the breath. With a regular and sustained practice of pranayama, one can feel the change in thought patterns and a new boost of energy in the body.

Meditation

Meditation techniques follow Patanjali’s progression from pratyahara (ability to withdraw from our sensory output) to dharana (concentration practices) to support a depth of understanding on how to apply different types of meditation to different needs. Learn the foundation of what a meditative state is by gradually training the mind to connect to effortless internal focus. The meditative practices can be utilized to influence the autonomic nervous system, retrain the brain to release stress and deepen spiritual awareness.
