Yoga Studio

The idea behind The House of Yoga
is the one of a home away from home. The House of Yoga started in a small, dedicated yoga room in an Ixelles apartment back in 2019. The intention of this project is to provide the feeling of enjoying an intimate experience in a safe space before, during and after classes.
The House of Yoga
is a yoga studio
that aims to provide welcoming and inclusive yoga, placing its community at the centre. This is a safe space to practice, meditate and share with likeminded people. At The House of Yoga we firmly believe that there is a right yoga for every single person on this planet, regardless of their age, gender, colour and background.
Our Mission is to enable you to find the right yoga for you
and empower you to access your true and best self through this practice in order to be an active member of their community.
The core values of The House of Yoga are those of care and service for its community; inclusivity of everyone who wishes to practice yoga; and lastly, those of truthfulness and integrity in sharing the teachings of this practice.
Through our personalised approach we will ensure that all practitioners are seen – from the newer to the more seasoned ones – and find the right class for them in this space.

Bearing these principles in mind, we will neither offer yoga as a fast shortcut solution to people’s problems nor offer a practice that perpetrates the idea that personal value is measured by the things we do. We will instead offer the opportunity to start a never-ending journey of self-inquiry, self-awareness and self-love. The house is a physical space, but it is also a mental space. Ultimately, the hope is that through the practice of yoga we will realise that the house is us. We are enough the way we are.
There is nowhere else we would want to be other than with ourselves and no one else we would want to be other than ourselves.

Classes may be cancelled without incurring into a fee up to 3 hours in advance. In case of late cancellations or no-shows, classes will be charged in full or deducted from your pass. After more than 3 late cancellations or no-shows within the same month, our system will apply the following measures with immediate effect:
- All your future booked classes will be cancelled
- Your online booking privileges will be suspended for 15 days
- Your membership is still valid, which means you can attend classes by registering only at the desk right before the class if a spot is still available.
Timing
Please arrive at least 5 – 10 minutes prior to class (especially if it is your first class!) to be on your mat at the class start time and be respectful towards teachers and fellow students. In case of late check-in, your space may be released to someone on the waiting list.
Check-In
Please always check yourself in at the reception.

Phones
Phones are not allowed in the yoga practice room. Please leave them in the changing rooms and in the dedicated storage spaces either in silent mode or turned off.

Waitlist
Joining the waitlist for a class is like a commitment to attending that class. If you were waiting for a spot but have changed your plans in the meantime, please remove yourself from the waitlist. Should a spot free up, you will receive an automatic email ahead of the class letting you know you got a spot. Keep an eye on your emails if you decided to join a waitlist!
Silence
The yoga practice room is a place for practice and meditation. Please be mindful of your fellow students by observing silence before class.

Respect
Be respectful towards your fellow students, the teacher, the space, and yourself.
Shoes
Please take off your shoes upon arrival and leave them in the dedicated storage space at the entrance.
Clean Up
After class, please wipe down the mat you used and place your props in the dedicated storage.
